schroeder has it right...we Americans would just shoot him. A nice tradition that started in the Wild, wild West many years ago. :D ;)

junio, you sound like such a Nice Guy. Time for No More Mr Nice Guy , and their NMMNG Forum .

btw:
A two-foot length of 2"-dia. wooden dowel works MUCH better than a 2x4, as it's easier to "control" in your hand, has less wind resistance, and will leave less evidentiary "marks".
A few turns of rubber tape on one end makes a nice "non-slip grip", as well . . .

It is your guitar and you setting you boundaries will get respect.

In the SF Bay area, I search Craigslist for "ovation" often.

Via craigslist, I got a Yamaha FG335 for $40 with case. It has one ding on side below the neck, the ding already covered with a Dean Markley sticker at no extra charge :-) I like it, and don't mind carrying it in the truck when going camping. Peppino D'Agostino remembers buying one like it as a kid, in Torino Italy.

One more bid and this one won't qualify for this topic any more.

I must add that finding $50 guitars is a prerequisite to join the Bottom Feeders League of Gentlemen. I have been in possession of a "Winston" classical that most likely came off the shelf of a local Sears store in the 60's. It belonged to a friend and I have since repaired it but it spent about 15 years moving from locker to locker at my job. It was Lunchtime therapy for cheap!
