| Hi,
I'm a new member of this forum, but definitely not new to Ovations.
I bought an Ovation Al DiMeola Signature model #1769 in 2003 at Sam Ash in New York City. Liked it so much that I bought my teenage daughter a 2005-ES Collectors' Series in 2005. Alas, she never had the time or inclination to learn how to play it, so now it sits--unplayed and unloved--in nearly pristine condition. She has asked me to sell it for her, and I agreed, but with a heavy heart.
Wondering if any Ovation enthusiast on your site would be interested in "adopting" this terribly lonely guitar? Please let me know. It's a real shame for it to not get played regularly or have a loving owner.
As Jimi Hendrix wrote: "Somewhere, a Queen is weeping...somewhere, a King has no wife." I feel certain that out there, someone is a perfect match for this guitar and would be very happy to have it; it's just a matter of making that connection. I'm in Hartford, CT and would be glad to discuss it and/or show it.
I posted it, with photos, on Craigslist for Hartford CT on 11/23/12 at http://hartford.craigslist.org/msg/3428221563.html But I'd love to see it go to someone who is a member of this forum and specifically into Ovations, because they would really appreciate this beautiful guitar.
Thank you.
