Any Info on what there is to do besides sunbathe & clubing there would be appreciated. Looking for over the 40 year group events.GWB

The time they weren't 'getting acquainted' was spent on/in the water and sampling the local cuisine. They said the SCUBA and snorkeling were fantastic.

There are resorts up and down the key and one can visit by a walking trail, bicycle, or golf cart on the one road. Some places can only be accessed by water taxi. We took excursions to Mayan ruins (well worth the day trip by boat), a day sail with snorkeling on a catamaran, went on a diving/snorkeling excursion, and barely tapped the available activities. We ate well, but mostly cooked our own meals after shopping at the local markets in San Pedro. We considered it fabulous trip, but it was our honeymoon, too. We'd go back, but have opted for other destinations to get acquainted with the Caribbean. By the way, I had hit 50 but had married a younger woman. But she's turned that corner, too.

The Maya ruins are breath taking. The majority of the country is dirt poor. I've been there several times on cruise excursions.
