Guitars, family, and house all weathered the storm ok. As an employee of the local electric company, I'm not so sure how well I'm going to hold up on 16 hr shifts with over 500,000 customers still without power, untill all are restored !

Best wishes to all suffering with power outages, water, and sand.

19 inches of snow at the house an hour north...we were lucky here...just a couple of inches...but at my old house in WV, 22 inches and still snowing...we may get some tonight yet...power has bounced off several times and some have lost power north of here. All in all, we are fortunate indeed!

We're all ok here in western Mass. The storm miraculously went around us for the most part, a few downed tress and some lost power, but nothing serious like NY and NJ. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have lost their loved ones, homes and possessions. The weather has definitely changed in the last few years.

Al is fine. He's been posting away on facebook. I don't live too far from Al. We definitely didn't get the worst of it - though I just got power back earlier today.

Heard from all of them.  All OK.  Although there is some inconvenience and cleanup work to be done.

I heard there's not much looting. Thank God for that. I hope everything is back to normal as soon as possible. Prayers for those who lost everything.

Just got Al's October newsletter (only a day late). He skirted disaster, or disaster skirted him again. Hoping for a speedy recovery for all those who weren't so fortunate.

Power is finally back on the street where my house is, but surrounding streets and homes are STILL without power. So much devastation; unlike anything I've ever seen, with the usual 'horror' stories. The following story however, to me, takes the cake. That man is going to have to sleep with one eye open from now on.

Look here: http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/weather/2012/11/01/ac-tuchman-sand...

So, so, horrible.
