This looks very nice indeed!

It's almost too good to be true, which makes me wonder if its legit. Hmmmm?

This guy had it up starting for $1,100 ending on Monday this week. I messaged him after about the guitar but he didnt reply until after the auction ended saying he was disappointed it didn't sell at that price as he knows its worth a great deal more. He he has to sell it this week as he needs the money and that I should watch for it relisting a new lower starting price later this week.

Well he kept that part of the bargain but I bought the 1537 in the meantime. My only observation is that he at least did communicate and did what he said he was going to do, but I'd still reccomend you make your own enquiries.

When you consider this:

You wonder why it took so long for the darn thing to sell...heck of a grab by someone.

The only thing I don't care for is the new style headstock logo ... but that wouldn't stop me from buying it

So are you saying you got it? It sold this morning, so it's one less thing I have to worry about.

Mark, you are supposed to be a lawyer ... Does "would not" and "did not" mean the same thing?

Anyway, that IS a really nice guitar. I played one at the factory 2 years ago (#36) and was blown away. I'll never forget it. And I DO like sunbursts and the price was really good ...

Your honor, I rest my case.

Stewart,
You know you couldn't go wrong with the 1537, right? My favorite Elite! Congratulations!
The person who got that 1617 sure stole it! I too, do NOT like that new headstock logo at ALL ...

Yes, and as I lawyer, I hate it when the witness doesn't answer the freaking question. I'm glad I have never played one, or I'd really be kicking myself that I didn't get that one. My list is pretty much full, though, and I never added that one to it.

I'd completely given up on Ovation wood topped guitars. 116 of them have come and gone and none really float my boat anymore compared to real wooden guitars. But then POW, like a Frazier 1-2 combo BAM BAM ... here comes the Wood Top Adamas and the Sunburst Adirondack Legend. I grabbed the WT Adamas right out of the shoot and its stunning. Actually bought more than one. Probably the closest Ovation has ever made to sounding like a real wooden guitar. But I got shut out on the Legend. I played one at the factory and convinced myself that I was an idiot for waiting. A few came available but timing and or pricing was not quite right. This one on ebay was an absolute steal.

You can always give me one if you get too crowded over there, Standing! ;p 116! I thought I was bad. I only have 40. I'd LOVE to have an Adamas WT, but I've got enough, and the ones I do have are superb. I'm in the middle of a garage sale, selling everything that isn't nailed down EXCEPT my guitars!!

Refinishing the face of the headstock is a pretty easy modification.
