I am really impressed with the condition of this guitar! The finish is nearly flawless with only a super-tiny ding to mar it. And though you can feel just a bit of rippling at the bridge, you can't see it. Otherwise, this instrument is excellent! The action is good, with plenty of shim still under the saddle. The neck is clean and straight. The frets show minor wear, but have years of life still in them. Like all ovation 12'ers, it plays seriously easy!

One of the nicest things about it is the incredible silking in the solid spruce top. It's almost 3D! Just gorgeous!

And the sound is phenomenal even with the old strings it has. I will give the buyer the option of either re-stringing it myself or putting a pack of D'Addario lights in the case. I mean really, does anything sound like one of these older Ovation 12-strings?

It comes with its case which is still solid but has faded noticeably. All of the hinges and buckles work fine and are in good condition

I'm looking to get $525 shipped in the continental US. Overseas members will have to contact me for a quote. Please ask any questions and thanks for looking.

You're off the hook Alison.

This one is sold pending payment. That was fast! Maybe I should have asked for more money...

This beautiful guitar arrived this afternoon safe and sound and I've been spending the last hour or so getting acquainted with it. For a 12-string, it's very easy to play and it reminds me why I fell in love with the sound of 12-stringers in the first place. I can't wait to put the new strings on and hear what it really sounds like.

Thanks again, Patch!

I'm glad it made it safely across the country Dan. I dunno why, but to me, the shipping process is always the most fretfull part of buying/selling any instrument.

Enjoy my friend!

Me, too. I always worry about stuff like the headstock snapping off or the face getting crushed like this poor guy's guitar. (Disappointment)

It was funny, after we last corresponded and you mentioned that you'd left the battery cover off, I had visions of the battery coming out of its holder and bouncing around inside the guitar and then, outside the sound hole scratching up the face. But, it didn't happen, thankfully.

Even though it's insured, the insurance can't cover the time or aggravation that comes with having to deal with damage in shipment.

Anyway, this time we lucked out and all's well that ends well. Thanks again! :D
