Well I've had it 2 months and the honeymoon is over. I still love this guitar. I play it more than all my other guitars. I put D'Adarrio Bluegrass strings on it and this thing sings. After the strings broke in, the guitar sounded a lot like my Martin. The mids aren't as quite as prominent. But I like that. I play fingerstyle and this guitar is much more balanced for that.

Yes I did check them out man, I got pissed off after the first three.....(got no money to buy anything new)..You have great guitars,all of them! Love the Martin, never had a play of one.

I don't know how much you paid for the 2079AX, but there's a new 2079LX for $1699. I've considered buying it.

Looks like the same "model"... one off shore, one New Hartford.
It would be interesting to sample these two side by side.

I concede that. If anyone on here lives near Northwest Arkansas. I'd be willing to play a 2079AX side by side with your 2079LX. Hear the difference.
