I should get another set of 19 O's invoices in the next days and I'll let you know as soon as they will be on the site. They seems to be more recent (1982/1983) and with some luck, 1537's are included in this set... J

It took me 4 month to get an invoice for the 1537-1... This one is from 1984 and the serial is 302663. J Edited by Jérôme 2012-08-11 1:03 AM

Who says Ovations don't go up in value? This is what I have been saying all along. Ok, they haven't gone up in value like a Strat, Les Paul or some Martins, but they didn't start out where some of those did either. In any case... it really doesn't matter. There are not many things you can buy for under $500, use the daylights out of for 30 years, and sell for at least what you paid it if not more. Investment material no. Good value? Absolutely. My Medaillion (matrix/ultra) was bought in '75 for $150.00. Now, nearly 40 years later, I bet if I sold it I would get about $150 for it. Probably the best value item overall that I have ever purchased.
