This case has miles on it.  Well, kilometers we call them up here....and Miles name is magicaly transformed at the border now too!

The latches work and the guitar won't fall out.  That's about all. The pictures should show where I had the handle anchors welded back together once.  The crack in the bottom is from being strapped to a moped for a month in the south of France in '74.  The bottome button smashed in is courtesy of an airline shipper somewhere between home and Yellowknife in '75.  The handle pops out if you don't pick it up ju-st right. (*plus > keeps people from touching your guitar again after you tell them "No I'll get it, it's booby trapped.")

I just got an old >in great shape!< case from Al (thanks again!) and have no need of this.  If you've got a reason to want it, it's yours for the price of shipping.  If there's more than one interested, best story takes it. (Sob stories= instant disqualify. Joy and light only....my bat/ball/rules.)
(okay, now I gotta figure how to load pictures from my laptop....) (pics too big, how do I shrink pics in iPhoto?)

OK, here's my best story: My friend Bonnie just got back her beautiful shiny bowl and it didn't have the case. The only way she'll bring it in here so I can play it is if it has a case. This guitar deserves a case, especially and old one that will match its mojo. Thanks!

Here's the thread about Bonnie's guitar: It is "at the doctor's" right now, and as you can see, they have both been around the block a few times, but like the case, the guitar is still functional.

No story... Just good on ya' for passing on something you no longer have a use for. Someone will surely appreciate it. Others might call it Vintage and slap an outrageous price on it.

He's making up for his bad screen door karma.

You KIDDING me? That door worked much better after the adjustment!
Used to be a little tight, I just gave it the professional adjustment that only that kind of skill can apply.

Case is spoken for, I just have to find out the shipping cost.

What do you charge for a "walk thru a screen door" adjustment?

That case would require some serious tinkering...

As for the screen door.... well, Phil is right... never worked better. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

I've had a couple people and a dog walk through my screen door since Phil did that. Mine hasn't been so fortunate, but it still is worth a chuckle. I have an extra case for an SSB that I've tried to give away here, too, but didn't have any takers. Seems like someone would have a use for them. I'll deliver to Portland or Seattle next week. I don't think that's a hijack, Phil, since mine's for a SSB.

Bonnie lives in a tiny apartment and has no place to put yet ANOTHER guitar. (She has a beautiful black elite, this one, a banjo, an Ovation mandolin, a really nice violin, and two short scale basses - one an Ibanez, and one a 1964 Gibson SG style. And she plays them all well.) She is going to keep this guitar in the case so it doesn't get damaged, instead of on a stand where it could get bumped, and I doubt she'll ever take it out of the house except when she brings it in for me to play with.

Darned shipping costs! Unfortunately, the cost of shipping from Canada to here so high that Bonnie decided she'd be better off buying a new case. So this one is still available if anyone wants it. Thanks to Fillhixx for the offer.

darkbarguitar - 2012-05-02 2:28 PM What do you charge for a "walk thru a screen door" adjustment?

Just beer, lodging, and bail money.

..and yes, the case is still available.

Shipping from NJ to CR $60.

Shipping from CR to ND $75/$95.

...and the dollars are about even now, I don't get it...

Case-y's last ride....
Boy, that sounds like a case full of memories!
Would be a good match for the '76 Folklore I got from oma last fall.
How about a ride down 19a to Nanaimo on the back of a Moto Guzzi, not quite Southern France but.....
Beer you say? Let's talk.

Sorry man. Just let it go a week ago to a kid who just got his first 'O'

That would definitely have been a good match. But I'll check in for beer and tunes next time I'm down your way. May be dropping in for the Naniamo Song Circle gatherins shortly as we're about to start one up here.

Much better home than mine, for sure. BTW, goop has done some nice case repairs for me, alas does not come in brown.
I'll be here, unless I'm not here.
