Location: Northwest Arkansas | One of the very first songs I learned was "Black Mountain Rag" and no one could play it lke Doc. I will always remember the best "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" album when Doc and Merle Travis met for the first time. I am so glad that was captured. Well Doc, Merle and Earl will be able to play together now. Doc will get to see them too. Awesome! |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Sad news indeed...he was a legend and a true part of American Musical Heritage...I saw him in concert at State Theater in Bristol several times but the best was at Wayne Henderson's Guitar Shop one incredible day in 2007. He and Wayne played Wayne's guitars and brought smiles to the faces of all that were there that day including mine. Thanks Doc for the incredible memories and may you rest in peace! |
