*Rumble- N. a sound usually preceding, coinciding, and associated with the arrival of an international mailing or delivery vehicle and it's anticipated and sometimes anxiety causing and sleep depriving cargo(see gas). This sound has also been described as "brown"

My always number one; Char, has been home since Thursday evening and is recovering well. looks like I'm going to have to tie her down again, as she is as always trying to get up and do too much.. she has a hard time admitting she's sick or weak. thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers all.

I have 2 deliveries hovering for a landing, one via USPS and one coming Brown..

The Q597 from Keith is coming USPS, keeping my fingers crossed, I have not had good luck with guitars being delivered via them... Thanks for the Great Deal Keith!

The 69 transitional model shiny 12 1115 is coming home from it's 2nd trip to mother.. when John and Kim looked it over, they found a couple of other loose braces in addition to the split x-brace and took care of those as well... it is also now sporting a thinline pickup and the line driver preamp and endpin jack as used on a FD-14, they were debating on how to attach the battery, whether vintage style or with an external access style box... I left it up to them.

on my 2nd cup of coffee, enjoying my wife's company at home again.. she's the best part of every day and my reason for starting each one.

Thanks Dave! a lot of us can relate to the toon..

not 5 minutes after I posted, the 1115 arrived! as usual, John, Kim, and crew went above and beyond what was asked and outdid every other customer service I have ever dealt with.... Again!!

Big Thanks to all in CT at the factory!!!!

it's a work of art! and Cannon/Belly-Rumbler is a severe understatement... more like a:

"Portable Orchestra" or "Steel-String Symphonium"

the battery box is mounted vintage style, and the jack is endpin out, so other than the screw on the waist, and the intonated saddle, it looks pretty stock and minty.

Thanks Again.

Glenn

the Q has landed, box fubar but guitar intact..

guitar has had a bridge repair/reattachment at some point, so not mint as described... but other than smeared cya or epoxy from the repair, along with some sharpie ink covering the seams.. it's not too bad... :( hopefully we can work out an adjustment. but this repair was not done by the mothership or a qualified service center for sure.

it plays nice, action is low, and sounds like an Adamas should.. just a poor job of cleaning up the repair.

Not passing judgment here, just a word of warning. Folks have been given vacations on other boards for hashing out disputes on those boards about private sales. Any discussion of this should be done privately.

no problem here g8r, Keith was unaware of the repair, and told me so when we spoke after the guitar arrived. I believe him.

He just sold a few of these, and some do not go over their gear the way I do, and when you own 4 Qs as he did, it might have gotten lost in the shuffle and went unnoticed,

from more than a foot away or so, you can't see the smears unless your looking for them. the bridge is solid, intonation is right or close enough for my tin ears.

I really like the guitar, other than the repair, the gloss neck with the thin stripes and ebony center is really nice... nicest gloss neck I've had on an O or A.. the sound is very crisp and bell-like.

I wish I knew what type of adhesive this was, I know the finish on the top is pretty impervious, if I knew which solvent to use.

Keith has offered to refund my money in full, I can't ask for any more than that, and shouldn't expect it.

no friction here guys, I promise.

a repaired Adamas is still worth what I paid, a luthier or tech who was not familiar with the guitar did what they could, and again, it is a nice and rare guitar, and we're still working on bonding.
