| There was a nice 1981 Custom Legend 1119 that just sold on e-bay. Didn't sell the first go, so it was relisted today for one day only. It sold at the last minute for the starting price of 650.00 plus shipping. Sure wish that I could have hit the button on that one, since I've been looking for that very model, but just wasn't in a position to do it at this time. I think the price was pretty fair, considering the condition. Oh well, maybe next time. |

Location: Central Florida | you just never can tell what used, older Ovations are gonna fetch anymore. I was watching an auction last week for a basically run-of-the-mill mid-80s Custom Balladeer 12 string (acoustic only). I was watching it with a casual eye towards buying it, but decided in the end that a 12 string was not really a priority right now. Now granted, this thing was in near mint condition, but you could've knocked me over with the proverbial feather when I saw the final price: $920 (+ $40-50 shipping).
Nearly a grand for a stock '80s Custom Balladeer 12ver. Word must be getting "round." |

Location: Central Florida | I don't think I ever clearly defined my point in my last post which is: I would've expected the Custom Legend to go for a lot more, and the Custom Balladeer to go for much less. |

| Jeff, there's currently a Twelve String CL Sunburst listed, also. I'm still looking for a good 1119, though. |
