So it takes me a while to do things sometimes...

A few weeks ago I ran across the receipt from when I bought my LX (3 years ago). I thought that maybe I should register the warranty in case there were ever any issues, so I did it online.

I just received this notification:

Model Number: 1778LX Elite Serial Number: 584176 Date of Purchase February 12, 2005
can not finish processing your warranty registration because the serial number is incorrect. Hopefully the below information will help you find it and e-mail me the information so I can complete the warranty. Thank-you.

I'm at work at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that's the right number, and it matches up with what I put in the serial number databse last year too. It also looks like it's in the same sort of format as other that have put their serial info on the online database.

Any suggestions? I guess I need to call them maybe and send a picture?

Check to see if the serial number stamped on the headstock matches the number on the white sticker inside by the neck. I think on the Elites they still put that sticker in there. If those match and match the number you registered, call them.

Yah double-check your neck, and follow up with John or Kim, I'd say.

No other label inside 'cept the one with the factory pic and model number.

584176 looks right to me. I don't see the the 4 all the way, but what else could it be?

Try it by mail or call them. There may be something wrong with their online registration.

You don't need to register your warranty for it to be in effect. Just save your receipt.

Maybe that number is already registered (?) and the owner of the OTHER guitar transposed some numbers!
