Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | This past weekend a friend of mine dragged me off to the "New York Fest of the Beatles", event held in Seacaucus NJ. The former guitarist from Wings, Laurence Juber, performed a solo acoustic set. I was knocked out by his guitar playing. He played on a signature Martin, some originals and Beatle tunes that blew the audience away. He used an wound G string for bending effects. Played some of the Beatle songs in non-standard tuning giving that drone melodic sound. He reminded me of Tuck Andress, but with an acoustic sound. It was a great surprise for me. I picked up his album on itunes, and it blows me away. |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | He played it when I saw him. I wasn't expecting him to do the piano end, but he did it, so good too. Amazing how much music he produces from just one acoustic guitar. |
