New territory to me so I mostly just strum along but I'm getting the hang of it. Here's a short vid of the 'Engine Room Gang' with a full head of steam. I was one of three guitars this particular evening (playing lusty red 1778T), but we had the full complement of harmonica, fiddles, mandolin, banjo, some percussion, upright bass and who knows what else. Plus a dedicated fan base, of course. The 'T' kinda weirded everyone else out at first (other guits are '50s and '70s Martins) but they got used to those funny side holes pretty quickly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMRKc9vgQE4

I am a little envious that you can get that many people togther like that. It has taken me 6 years now to get 5 to play the music I have always wanted to do. Enjoy and learn from these guy's you have some good talent there it's free lessons and free concerts all night. Take this out of the Marina and set it down on the beach every night and I'll bet you'll have half the community there in no time. Randy

The Mando player in the pics just turned 31 I think, and the tall guy with the ponytail was actually one of the guitar players who was taking a break. Also, girls dig it! Wish I'd have known this about 30 years ago. Some are girlfriends of the young guys, but we average 5-6 lovely young fans every session. And yes, it's decidedly weird playing a red modern-looking guitar in this bunch. Bit like driving a Prius to a drag meet. Ha ha ha.
