I have long been frustrated over having to use poof cans to finish with. I did manage to make a vented booth but it would never support a spray operation.

But today, was a breakthrough! I set up my newly acquired Stewmac Air Pencil and got to work over an early project. The lighting is bad but you'll get the idea.

After a lot of level and spray with the clear I was able to add the tone layer. A few more layers of clear and it should polish out.

That doesn't look like the guitar I gave you back last week...you run into a paint truck on the way home? ;)

Very nice Mike, I've been thinking of doing that to an acoustic.

Like the sign in Dan Erlewine's shop says... "Practice on scrap."

Anything you pay that kind of money for can't be considered scrap, no matter how good or bad it sounds.

I like the burst, though you can't see much of that koa now. Are you going for a high-gloss finish coat Mike?
