My balladeer lx needs a fret job but I cant leave it that long now. I want to increase the shims under the saddle as a temporary fix. My question is can I use any material ie. credit card stock or is there something that is preferable. Thanks. Ken

Alright! Another new OFC family member... Welcome!

The ol' standby, a credit card is fine.

I forgot to add; ... as long as it's not the one that supports your GAS!

Hi Uncle Kenny. I HAVE an Uncle Kenny, but he lives in Connecticut - unless you moved? :D

If a credit card is too thick, another good choice is those plastic "For Sale", "Keep Off The Grass", "Open/Closed" type signs. One sign will keep you supplied with shims for the rest of your life.

I found a piece of the Ace of Clubs in my custom Legend when I got it.
