Fantastic OMA!

Went looking for one of my favorite YT subscriptions, NAUDOPRD, and his account is suspended! CRAP!!! He did great acoustical covers of some of the rock classics. CRAP! CRAP!! CRAP!!! ARRRRGH...
Iffy,

YouTube must be on a roll. They also yanked Podline6's account. He is now on there as Podline66.

A few weeks ago, I heard Colin Hay doing a cool acoustic version of "Who Can it Be Now?". I don't have a clip of it right now, though.

Michelle - Colin Hay put out a cd not too long ago - Man At Work - that was largely an acoustic compilation but it's great. I think "Who Can It Be Now" is on that one. "Overkill" is another great cut (that one was used on an episode of 'Scrubs')

Well 'Fretkillr' had to clean out his YT 'collection' also... Guess everyone was hit. So much great music flushed down the crapper!

Looks as though 'lessons' are safe... so far.

Weaser,

Colin Hay was actually in my area a few weeks ago. I guess he was touring in support of the CD.

The thing is that I was standing and talking to someone when I said, "Wait a minute. Is that Colin Hay doing 'Who Can it be Now?'"

Yepper, working for me now. Whew...

Which begs the question, why some and not others?

Who's doing the yanking? (no smartass remarks, Weaser)
Why are they yanking? (no smartass remarks, Weaser)
What's specifically being yanked? (no smartass remarks, Weaser)
There's no money being made by the performers on youtube, so I don't get it.

I don't know for sure but they could be arguing that, by recording songs that are copywrited and posting them on youtube, you're "advertising your entertainment services" for employment and, once employed, you actually used youtube to make money. A stretch but certainly arguable.

Don't forget the palms!

In retrospect NAUDOPRD is an entertainer ($$$) overseas. Maybe that's what nailed him...

"Always Somewhere" has always been one of my favorite Scorpions songs. This version is on their "Acoustica" release. I like it even more now.

I wish they would release it in NTSC, not just PAL.
