Location: Seoul, Korea | Thanks, Beal. As I was going through the site, I noticed an Ovation Patriot. Kummers Vintage is supposed to have both serial #1 and #76 of the Patriot.
BTW, as I was digging into the vintage guitars, I have found http://www.gruhn.com |

Location: Seoul, Korea | Iffy: Does that mean Patch is selling his #76? Not that I am interested in buying but just curious. Or Patch just bought the Patriot from Kummers?
Roger: Thanks for the links. Yes, I know a few of them. Jazz guitarist that I know suggested Gruhn website but he was less keen to recommend any other sites. Like OFC is Holy Grail for O lovers, I wondered whether there is this one site I should not miss in search for a Gibson archtop. |

I don't think Patch is ever letting that one go! He can give ya the history on it...
BTW, I have #59 and it's in my will to pass on... |

OFC is a great community, whereas archtop.com is a great seller of archtop guitars! I think the best jazz guitar community is online at groups.google.com, that being the Usenet group rec.music.makers.guitar.jazz. But you won't search there for a guitar per se. I don't think there's really an equivalent to OFC for Gibson archtops, and I'm a huge fan of those for many years, so I've looked... |

Location: 6 String Ranch | No Patch isn't selling, that's from when I had it down there. Timm doesn't have either 1 or 76 anymore.
Mando Bandits are good for reference but I'd never buy from them. Also keep in mind that their prices are the top and the rest of teh world is 10% or so closer to reality.
Try Norm's rare guitars in Ca and Elderly in Michigan too. |
