Location: Just outside Dallas, TX | The Tuner will NOT lock in a note... I tune a perfect A (according to 3 separate Audio Tuners) and the Optima shows it as a G then a B then a D but never the Sharp/Flat arrows... I tried to find a procedure to reset it thinking my 4Y/O who presses every button she finds may have held it in (the Tuner turn on) for an extended period.
Any helpful suggestion are greatly appreciated |

Location: Sydney, Australia | First the bleeding obvious: check the battery is new (tuners of all types often do dodgy things when the battery is low but not extinct). Secondly, I'd be tempted to get one of those compressed air sprays and spray around the preamp connections. Thirdly I'd check all the connections are sound by giving a little wriggle on the wires (don't break anything) and see if the symptoms change.
Does the preamp work normally if you plug it in to an amp (i.e. do you get amplified sound?). |

If you think that maybe the tuner might be stuck in a weird calibration, I would suggest taking the battery out for a good while. Make sure that it is a good battery when you put it back in.
And if that actually works, let us know. :p |

Location: Just outside Dallas, TX | So Brand new Battery... removed a few times... and YUP Pre=Amp works fine both 1/4" and XLR jacks...
I'll check the wiring... only I just changed strings and pretty much need to remove them to get inside (no panel like the new ones) - BTW 1994 Collectors... If I remember correctly the 1st time this PreAmp appeared |
