Another question to the experts in here: The tuner mechanics of my Pinnacle CU 147, supposed to be gold-plated (and gold supposed to be non-corroding) increasingly show stains.

How can this be cleaned and avoided? Does anybody have an idea?

Chris,

A routine of wiping down the instrument after use is good prevention. Uniform aging is alright as Bill has said but if it drives you crazy get a replacement set of tuners.
