The question now is, who should be next in line? I want to be as fair as possible. If I just pick someone at random, it might go to someone who has read one of the other copies floating around out there. If I pass it along to the first one who responds, it wouldn't be fair to anyone who is at work or asleep or for some other reason away from their computer. (After all, we all live in different time zones.) So I have decided to have a little fun with you, and get to know you better at the same time. It is now Wednesday, May 27th, a little after 11 AM Mountain Daylight Time. What I propose to do is offer you all a chance to PM me with a short paragraph detailing why YOU should be the next lucky person to recieve this book. I will take submissions until 6 PM (MDT)by Personal Message ONLY. On Saturday morning I will post the top three responses (without mentioning names of course)and we will take a poll for the winner. Silly you say? Well of course! But it should be fun.

That will give you all more time to come up with an eloquent response. I can say that so far, I have had only one PM on this. You must give your response by PM, not here on the open forum. If I don't get enough responses to even post three, what a shame that would be.

I don't think those online prices of $250 are realistic or have had any serious takers. When the (soft cover) book shows up on ebay it generally goes for $25 including shipping. The two that I initiated have a Gazzillion signatures in them and are Priceless! If anyone decided to put it up for sale I'd be forming a Posse to make a visit. Transfer of Custody is not transfer of Ownership, they are a shared asset. The Dadi DVD originated from Jerome as well. (putting Soap Box away...) That said, are we sending the customary SWAG items along - which then belong to the next person, who in turn sends SWAG along to...

There are pictures of different bracing patterns. There are pictures of lots of famous people playing O's. There is a wealth of informationn in this book. And who could resist getting swag from the great state of South Dakota?

But you MUST send me your reasons for wanting it by PM!!!For those who have never used the PM option, just click on my name in this post. That'll take you to my profile. Select the option "send a personal message", then give me your reasons for wanting to be next in line. Anyone who has posted their reason here, where everyone can read it and see who it is from MUST send me a new and different paragraph by PM, or they won't be in the running.

My 13 year old son is still asking questions why Dad has such a "wierd looking" guitar! He is taking guitar and drum lesson right now...along with normal homework, baseball, soccer etc. typical family stuff. We have done some web surfing to help him understand the Ovation brand but sharing the book together would be a great introduction too. he's a very inquisitive kid, just like hid dad! Anytime we can get kids interested in music is a plus!!! Thanks!
