Hi Everyone. I hope you all might be able to help me identify, etc this old guitar. It recently went through a factory overhaul at Ovation, where a friend of mine works. This is a beautiful old guitar with a great sound. I believe it's 1967. My friend says it's quite old as it doestn't have any writing on the headstock. I'm trying to find out the age, value, etc. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Welcome, David. Very nice guitar you have there. It's unfortunate you ran smack into the hard reality that "Ovation Guitars really don't get the respect they deserve!"

Maybe it's market value isn't what you'd hoped, but I'm sure in tone, volume and playability it's hard to beat. Enjoy it for what it is - one of the best, if unappreciated, examples of modern guitar making and an unrealized historical treasure.

Congrats on the '67 Balladeer and Welcome to the Club.

If you ever DO decide to sell it, let me know. I'm always on the lookout for another shiny bowl.
