Brad, the Folklore was an X braced guitar. Combine that with it being a 12 fretter and the bridge moved more towards the center of the lower bout, and you get a very good full sound. All the 14 fretters (with the exception of the CL and a select group of Legends were VT braced. Never cared for that.

By the way, your Balladeer is X braced. One of the reasons it sounds so good....
