We very rarely get a chance to get away but with two children it was clearly time to head to Tennessee...so we took them to Gatlinburg to the Aquarium of the Smokie’s and to Pigeon Forge to Dollywood...we spent Monday evening in between the two w/ Mike and Kathy...we had dinner at the Smoke House Buffett and man was it delicious...and then after way too much food, we went back to our hotel room for a few minutes Jam...Violetta was tired from working all night Sunday night and not getting much sleep in the car on the ride down; and Kathy had to get up early for work the next morning, but they were gracious and put up with these two guitar-a-holics for a little while.
We had a great time and are so grateful to both Mike and Kathy for making us feel at home in their town (well close anyway: Sevierville's close)...Mike's Martin slothead 12 was in fine tune and we had a great time...just not enough of it....but you can't have it all...

Yup, Mike and Kathy are that way. Always ready to invite someone in and show them some southern hospitality. He's the first OFCer I met years ago.

Mike,

Glad ya'll could visit and jam a bit. They are an awesome couple!

Yeah, Kathy had to push Mike out the door when they dropped by our cabin one evening. :D

Mike we had a great time. That was the best steak I've had at a buffet restaurant. The blackberry cobbler was pretty good also.

The guitar playing, well I did try and keep up.

When we were driving home Kathy said, "he's pretty good."

The members here are a great bunch.

Jim, I resemble that remark. :D

iffy, I'm glad Kathy didn't push too hard. That was quite a hill you were staying on.
