I found a "Jellifish", pick-like device in the case of my new guitar. Anyone using one?

It's like a pick with about a dozen pieces of guitar string sticking out the end that you use to kind of brush the guitar strings. Sounds kind of cool but seems like a great way to ruin the guitar finish. Or great if you want to achieve that Willie Nelson look without all the years of playing.

...seems a bit dangerous for folks like us. My best guess is that the multi-vibrations from the pick are received by Government Agents and recorded, thus keeping a full record of every type of song you play.... for future prosecution.

I have one...they retail for about $10. Not bad. They have very interesting marketing, claiming to maintain the brightness of your strings AND to restore old strings to like new. I think they are at www.jellifish.com. Sounds fishy to me (hah-hah-hah!)

Sound-wise, kinda weird, kinda scrapey. It has some appeal, but for off-the-beaten-track "picks," I like my e-bow better.

It would actually be very handy for certain kinds of effects in cake decorating...decorative swirling in concrete work...all kinds of ornamental work in stucco. Definitely an all purpose item.
