If the Tak is out of bounds, just insert the 2080 instead. I still like the Tak preamp and soundhole pickup better though.

However, according to the band and many others regularly in the audience, the best they've heard is (1) the Adamas wood-topped SSB proto played through a Zoom A2.1u with some reverb and other parameters I put together in a single preset about a year ago, then sent to the house PA through the Zoom XLR, and (2) the Tak EF-75 through the same system only with a primarily chorus-based preset.

The 6778LX sounds pretty darned good through that amp, too. When running through house PA systems it never sounds quite as good, but the sound guys usually do a real quick sound check. For the speed of the setup they do a great job, but it isn't as good as it might be if there were more time. One venue made Katie's 1778LX sound just amazing. Full and lively. I asked the sound guy what he did but all he would admit to was adding reverb. The sound system in there is very nice but usually not that nice.

The recording was in an empty church... so that was "wet" enough. I notice amazing variety in plugged in sound for the top pro axes (Custom Legends, Adamas etc.).
