Hey there everyone, I posted and got some great advice on purchasing an Idea vs a Tascam GT-R1 a few weeks ago. I am looking to have the ability to layer at least a couple of tracks. The consensus seemed to be the Gt-R1. Now I think I am looking for just a little more. 4 tracks would be enough. I saw the Tascam DP-004 pocket studio was but see it has no effects. Stepping up to the Tascam DP-02CF provides a few effects as well as 8 tracks. Does anyone have any experience with the DP-02CF ? This seems to be a good fit for me. Then of course there is the DP-02. The only difference I can see is the built in CD burner and 40GB buit in memory vs the DP-02CF lack of burner and 1 GB card. For the $200 price difference one can always purchase a larger memory card down the road.As you can guess I am trying to keep the cost down. Any feedback would be most welcome. Cheers

Well, you've already got a computer. Download Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and try that.
