Order tickets to Port Authority Bus Terminal Aug 3rd 3 weeks in advance to be delivered by mail.
No ticketets showed up.
Called 10 days later to tell them no tickets arrived.
Sat on hold for 45 minutes.
Told too soon call after the 20th if they have not yet arrived.
They did not arrived
Called on the 21st left on hold for 1.5 hours.
Finally talked to someone. They said they would call me back Mon or Tuesday after they get a supervisor approval to reissue.
They called back tuesday and told me the tickets were all set and should be picked up today before 8pm ask for Debbie.
At 6pm I go to Union station to pick tickets pay for parking. I was told no tickets and Debbie left. No tickets would done till fri.
Not what what I was told on the phone, So I call Greyhound back.
Waited on hold 1 hour and 20 minutes then was told no tickets would not be there till friday.
So back to Union Station pay for parking and pick the tickets in the rain.
Saturday 3pm comes get on Express Greyhound at Union station and arrive in NYC on time.
Go straight upstairs and get 351 NJ Transite ticket and then one up and within 5 minutes we are off to Giants stadium.
Seats were good at top of 101 in west endzone. Never been to NFL game before. Turn down tickets to Jets & Patriots in the past.
Giants tickets not an easy get unless you pay a scalper or go to away game.
Game was fun, to be at. Though I'd rather watch the game on TV. You just miss a lot.
But at least I was in Giants Stadium before it was gone. Maybe I'll go to a preseason game next year to see the new stadium.
The wave gets old after the 3rd time around, It went around 7 times.
The Giants dropped 7 passes. 2 would have went TDs. One was intercepted.
The Giants could have tied the game at 20 if they kicked the pat.
No, the went for 2 and failed. 20 to 19 with 4 minutes left.
Jets score another TD 27 19. Giants come down the field and score a TD.
They go for 2 again and fail again. final score 27 25.
They also had a 51 year fg come up short.
The Giants should have blown out the Jets be didn't.
I'm OK its preseason.
Walk out and right onto 351 Bus back to Port Aurithity Terminal.
Arrived about midnight.
I had been told 330am express to Hartford but there locals before that time.
Well there were no locals.
So killing time untill 330am. Back inside Port Aurithity Terminal at 3 am.
Were waiting at the Hartford gate number 82 along with 20 others.
4 am and there are 10 of us waiting for 330 Express decide we want to have a smoke outside in garage boarding area.
A place we drivers smoking in. A Greyhound employee named Roland comes over yells at us us for smoking.
We tell him our bus is 1/2 an hour late. He told us
the 330am express to Hartford was on time and had boarded from the Boston gate.
No one from Greyhound said anything to the 20 people waiting at the Hartford Gate.
Roland told us not to beleve the signs. WHAT????
There only place for info is the signs!
The none of the tv monitores that suppose to show the buses status work.
No one at Customer service booths. Only machines answer the customer service number.
Gee how could they have not noticed 20 people waiting one gate over marked Hartford??????
If your the driver going to Hartford why would not tell the people at the gate marked Hartford?
Roland told some else to TO follow the signs in getting to Providence...
Had to take a Peter Pan local at 430am stops in Danbury, Southbury, Waterbery,
New Britian, Farmington & Hartford..
What total BS. Got home at 8 am.
So now I am going write them.
If they don't generously compensate me for my lost time and agravation with free travel tickets I'll be giving them
the United Breaks Guitar Treatment.
I am sure plenty of muscians travel by bus.
I'm also sure plenty of people got bad service like I did. |

no damage.

Location: Colorado | Anita's right--you have the patience of Job. But I thought for sure you'd have an epic song written during the time you've spent on hold and in makeshift transportation home.
Cool that you got see a game in Giants Stadium though. Wife and I saw games at Shea and Yankee Stadiums before they were gone.
Hopefully any compensation you receive will be worthwhile. |
