Talking about searches made me think of a website that someone here on the board mentioned a while ago. I bookmarked it right away, but it doesn't show up on searches here so I thought I'd mention it again. It's a great site with a huge wealth of information about guitars and guitar repair. I go there quite often and I thought some of you might be interested.

Yeah, I do quite a bit of repair work here in the shop, and when things are slow here I click on and read. I've learned a lot. As a matter of fact, I have to do a neck reset on a (choke) Taylor, and that article about the Taylor neck joint will come in handy.

Q. How do you do a neck reset on a Taylor?

A. Carefully support each end of the guitar then use a 4lb hammer

Well that's what I read somewhere!! :D

Isn't the LX neck joint the same as the Taylor neck joint?

You sure 'bout that? I know that's what the January catalog says but January was a long time ago ...

Gryphon is the place to go if you ever get to the SF Bay area and want to drool over some stinged instruments.
