:D Are you in a bad Mood(y)? If not - you're words are quite good for describing the tune he's playing, I agree ;)

That's the Song that amazes me most:

Pat Metheny, Picasso guitar and "Into a dream"

Best regards,
Kurt

Changing strings takes a week and tuning must be a nightmare !!!
I met Linda Manser this summer at tyhe Montréal guitar show and she makes very good REGULAR guitars !!

that guitar was built by Linda manzer in canada. I played or should I say held a replica she made for scott chinery. it is crazy but some of my ideas have been pretty far out there too.

Awesome music. I guess that instrument's an alternative to a bunch of reverb/FX boxes.

Wouldn't want to be the roadie who has to string and tune it for the great man.

I think that must be what happens when you take an Elizabethan instrument and expose it to high dosages of radiation..... :D
The concept isn't new, that's for sure--I thought the tone of the instrument left a lot to be desired, though; not too much warmth or mellowness to it. The tone reminded me of an autoharp, which I do like in the right genre, but I expect an autoharp to sound like one.
None the less, my musical education has been advanced, so thanks for the chance to view it.

Didn't seem to be much sustain, tone's a little wooden, it looks like it's only valid for experimental 'tone poem' kind of stuff, and he seemed to need a piano to fill it out...

....but it must be art, cos Moody's P.O.d!

Hat's off to the builder though, imagine the stress...in so many different directions!
