I just got an Ovation Classical and it has serial # 271XXX but there is no
sticker anywhere to tell me the model *the oval Ovation sticker that should be
inside the guitar body is missing). It is nylon string, has a mahogany / maple
neck and active bridge pickup. The store had it labelled as an Ovation CC116
but that model doesn't show online. I found a model 1116-4 and especially the
1763-4 looks identical, but my guitar is 1982 an earlier model and doesn't have
any tone controls, just a volume knob on the side - near the neck heel.
There's a screw near the volume knob that secures a battery holder inside
of the body and that's the part I need to buy. I need the battery holder.
Can anyone help? Thank you much.

thanks for all the answers and encouragement {8^)

I traded in my low end Hohner classical and some cash for this beauty.
The finish has a large crack in it but the wood is not cracked.
This baby plays great! Wonderful action and good tone.

Welcome to the Ovation Family!

That's a sweet git. Hopefully ya got it for a CC price.

Put a 'Wanted' in the For Sale forum and/or contact the MotherShip (Ovation factory) for the parts you need.

Good luck!
