VXT, though I've never played one. I go between acoustic and electric phases, which means I need both.

Of the ones I own it would be the '07C. The Adamas 2080 is a superior guitar in a number of ways, but the wood top of the '07C is too sexy to give up for the hard sterile carbon top of the Adamas.

Tough question. I'd have to go with the VXT custom, because it can do double duty with its wide-ranging electronics, but enough with these make-believe, what-if games. I'm sure glad I don't have a make this kind of decision, and my heart goes out to those of you who do.

That's a good point that I hadn't even thought of when I posed this (admittedly) dumb question. Some who, in the past, may have pooh-poohed the crazy thought they they would ever have to give up all their guitars but one, may actually find themselves in this exact position in these trying times. It certainly wasn't my intention to make light of anyones circumstances.

Interesting consideration; change the question to, "If you had to sell everything to keep body, soul and family together, what is the 1 guitar you would keep to help you through it?"

No longer is it a question of "best" but more a question of balancing potential income against emotional attachment.

I would still stick with a certain old National that wouldn't mean much to others, but has always been a source of comfort for me. All others I would miss, but I COULD do without them if push came to shove.

So? You might wanna Sell the Best Guitars due to the Most Financial Return.
And you wanna keep a cheap one that sounds best plugged-in, for busking and gigs (maybe).

This is a generic question, right? Martin Forum, Taylor, Collings, Gibson...just insert brand  ...and what do you do when that one needs a neck reset?

Don't know about those Brands...
But if one my Elites needs a reset, I just undo three bolts and fix it!
