"What are all these cables for?"
"Those are guitar strings, dear." (Old ones for Jeff W. before he disappeared, so they got tossed.)
Oh, no, then she went into the shop. "What's these pieces of wood doing here?"
"Waiting for me to build something out of them. Just leave them alone and get out of my shop."
Threw out 2 AC adapters that she long ago separated from whatever they were supposed to go to, all the instruction manuals are now in a nice neat pile, instead of with the equipment they should be with, but otherwise no damage.

What kind of mancave do you got there in Boise, Mark? You got females vacuuming, moving stuff around, throwing important stuff away... Do you have doilies on the furniture too? That room needs a testosterone injection, quick. And take down those weenie Bronco's banners.

Females do not generally enter the mancave. I usually vacuum it every few months, but apparently that wasn't satisfactory for SWMBO. I suspect she went down to use the weight machine recently and had the urge to clean the room. (She takes the pin out so there aren't any weights on the machine and leaves it on the floor.)
I have no Bronco Banners. Only Ovation stuff, amps and Roland digital piano, a TV, worn out recliner, and the exercise equipment.
The cat is the only other male in the house, but he's not allowed down there since he peed in my cord box. (See how I brought that back around to the original topic.)

"Only Ovation stuff... and the exercise equipment."

So how many cords and cases can you stow on the exercise equipment?

There are 3 or 4 extra seats for you guys to sit on whenever you guys come over to play. So the exercise equipment gets used only slightly more than my invitations for an Ovation gathering in Idaho have been accepted. Turns out those invitations received the same response as my offer to meet in Portland over Thanksgiving. I'm beginning to see a pattern here. Suppose if I had a "Bronco Bowl" the guys from Florida would come?
Oh, the cases are all stored in a storeroom next to the guitars. I've tried to keep SWMBO out of there, but she keeps trying to store non-guitar stuff in there, like her 15 boxes of Christmas decorations.

Sounds more like a she-mancave. Can a room be a transexual?

Ouch! I suppose you don't think I should park her Porsche in my garage, either. She cleaned that the other day, too.

Probably smells like jasmine, and you have to put on little footies before you get in it. :p

True. But mine smells like beer farts and I just put the snow tires on.
Back to guitars, she complained about the smell of the mancave, too.

LOL! Well put!

So, back on topic: As OMA says, use your gizmos as toys. But if you want less cords, consider working towards the minimalist approach that I have totally embraced at my gigs: NO effects, NO extra boxes. Just me, the git, a mic, and a (good) PA (the Bose L1). I can't remember the last time I used effects. But I can tell you they tend to sound better to us than to the audience.

Effects were given to us for a reason.
Some of you are more gifted than others of us.
