Considering we put less than an hour into it I think it came out pretty decent. I added some sloppy bass and a little bit of other stuff here and there this weekend that took about a 1/2 hour.....so less than 2 hours tops for the whole shebang. Given more time I think we could have done better but it really just started out as a quick and dirty recording to show Serge how to better showcase his vocals. Compare Serge's vocal on Lonely Stranger from a couple weeks ago....then Malted Milk after he got back from Denver...to Ed Lee that we put together on a whim. To me Serge sounds like a totally different singer in each song. oh yeah...for anyone who wants to know....the guitar was a Takamine EF75 and the bass a Dingwall 6 string. Both were plugged straight into Cubase via the DI jack on my A-Designs Pacifica preamp. Mic was a Michael Joly modded Oktava MK-105 (not the MK-319 I mistakenly reported in the other thread). Serge....you need to plan another trip so we can really lay down some tracks.... maybe do some original tunes for the next OFC CD. | ||
