Eggs. One of the other geezers in our little geezer guitar group really liked my 1612 & since my settlement finally got done I decided to sell it to him & upgrade. Maynard lives just down the street & every other week when we play here at my place he brings me a dozen fresh eggs @ $2 a dozen. He doesn't have a lot of cash so I told him he owed me 1,470 eggs for the guitar. I don't have to pay for eggs for five years! And thanks to Tony & Kotadawg my "new" 30th Anniversary Custom Legend should be here around the end of the week. I won't miss the 1612 for long. Besides, it will come to visit twice a month.
Btw, I told him no early payoffs, I don't want 'em all at once!

I LOVE stories like this, Nils! The gift of music is a wonderful thing, and fresh eggs are pretty wonderful, too.

I'd ask you to send me a dozen, Nils, but I'd hate to think what they would look like after UPS got through with them.

As economies tumble, the barter system typically makes a slight comback. Way to go! Great story.

Well there's something to be said for scrambled eggs I suppose Jack but the package might be kinda oozy.
