Don't mind broccoli, slot-heads, 12 or 14 frets, innie-eppies, outie-eppies, most of the colors (except that horrible green parlor one), enjoy all the bowl sizes--but that particular neck shape has caused me more grief lately than the shoulder issues. The good side to that is, I won't be trying to outbid any of you if a guitar has that particular neck configuration. --Karen

Played and own(ed) different ones, from Customs to Collector's, didn't and don't like them. Other than the bracing the LX features are fine and appreciated. Wouldn't buy any Korean guitar, but no cause in bad sound here. Played some Celebs, that sounded quite good. Love the skunk stripe - and the other "only american" features - like the knowing it was made there. Wouldn't buy a T, cause they're ugly. Wouldn't buy a standard - because of the missing skunk stripe. And since there is no new A-braced Ovation, that I don't have already - I am done. And that's a good feeling, for sure! Best regards, Kurt

As I've mentioned in several other posts, that guitar has a sound like no other. I've had it side by side with an identical guitar, and this one is just pure magic. It's just as well you live in Germany because if you ever made it to the Black Hills and played that guitar your GAS would be revived!

I have an old A braced Legend that I love too. When people ask me why I have so many guitars I tell them it's because there are so many songs. One guitar sounds better than the others on THIS song, but that other guitar sounds better on THAT song. And if I feel like playing this OTHER song, I have to use that guitar over there...

By the way, I have been there... About fifteen, twenty years ago. I still have a shirt from the local Harley dealer in Rapid City. Very nice, the black hills. Travelled there from Minneapolis, through the Badlands... Best regards, Kurt

Why? - it was too heavy - I really don't like the abalone trim on the headstock and - the sound didn't blow me away like I expected it to. Maybe the timing wasn't right... maybe we'll meet again someday and fall in love.
