Anyone know if the neck profiles on the 1980s 1627 is the same as the ones with the truss rod cover. I have played a '77 that was identical to my '78 1617 and would like to purchase a 1627 and I like the feel of the older neck. Thanks.

The profile for the truss rod neck and the K-bar neck is different....

Thanks . . . I really like the 1617 profile compared to more recent models.
