I just wanted to introduce myself.
I am a novice guitar player and just got my first used Applause. It was give n to me by my pastor and is a circa 1975 Applause acoustic.
Had the string action lowered and restrung with Martin Cutom lite strings.
I have gotten addicted to the sound!

Thanks everybody for the welcome. I have a 1975 Model AA14-2 Applause 6 string. For a 35 year old guitar it sure is sweet.

BTW 2ifbyC, if I had the money, I would procure another Ovation Guitar, but with the way economy is, that is going to be a while unless I stubble on one.

Welcome.
Keep an eye on the For Sale section, you'll find a bargain there in no time.
Get a US-made O and you be glad you did.

Pez,

You are correct. I am SOOO addicted to the sound. Drednaughts sound good, but there is something about that fiberglass back and the shape that makes the sound that you want to keep listening to all day.
