Location: Nashville TN.

I was looking at the 2010 price list.
It kinda struct me that street price on AX & TX
are under $900 then you have nothing till you till ya get to Legend street about $1700.
Thats a huge price leap.
Seems to me there should be something in USA guitar
$1250 and $1400 street.

What do others think?

This is actually a GOOD tactic. You need a clear deliniation between USA made and imports. In Ovations case it's about a thousand dollars. Clearly groups the imports as "value" guitars and the USA models as "quality" guitars.

Otherwise the line gets very blurred and for the longest time this was one of ovations biggest issues. Blurred line causes confusion in the buyers mind and he ends up going elsewhere. I LIKE the current strategy.

Time will tell how well it works ...
