Location: CA | This one is up on eBay. It's a Legend, but naturally there's nothing about it on the Ovation website — or anywhere else I could find online. Anyone know more about these? I can't even tell what bowl it has, though I'd guess SSB.

By looking at the preamp pic, I would say it's a mid-depth.
That do look like a healthy crack in the top.
This has been up before, or at least the case has cuz I recognize the paint in the fur.
But you can see that it is A-braced! :eek:

Location: Carle Place, NY | It looks like one of a limited run of specially ordered Legends, similar to a 1777, but with the Op-X, an under the saddle P/U, ebony tuner buttons, no fretboard markers. Probably deep bowl. The A bracing is visible.
Nice guitar for the bottom feeders among us. |

It refers to someone with a good eye for a great bargain guitar that just needs some TLC. I bought a Custom legend years ago with a crack in the top like this one. After the factory fixed it up it looks like this

This was a fairly short-lived pickup which was issued on some Adamas and higher-end Ovation guitars for a few years from the late 90's. Kinda similar to the Baggs LB6, way better than the thinline pickup but not as good as the original Ovation pickup |
