Had loads of good times this past week+ of traveling.

First we flew out to Norfolk/Virginia Beach so Sara could visit family. While there, I took some time to check out Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. I thought it was cool stuff. So did the hundreds of 4th graders that were there on field trips.

Friday was pushin' 95 degrees so we decided to head to S.C.'s Outer Banks to chill at the beach.

Saturday it was back on a plane and off to Boston. Saw cool old buildings, old tombs of historic dudes, a great marketplace, the Cheers bar, and other cool stuff.

On Monday, we met up with Bob (BT717) and he brought us out to visit the Mothership. We were met there by PEZ. John Budny and Kim Keller were fantastic hosts. It was a great time, one that will stay with me for some time.

A BIG SPECIAL THANKS to Bob. Bob's one of the good ones.

But the real reason I took this trip was to see my son graduate from Boston University. I was incorrect before as he graduated Cum Laude, not Magna Cum Laude as I previously stated.

So officially, here goes...

Bachelor of Arts in Biology
Cum Laude
With Specialization in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics

And how bout the view from his "luxury" dorm huh?

Then it got one better. He told me he accepted an offer to work for Harvard Stem Cell Institute's Kidney Disease Program.

I couldn't be more proud of him.

I understand completely. Just trying to fix the more obvious flaws.

Good on you both, really.
....and he'll always be Summa Cum Laude in your eyes anyway, eh?

Hey Bob, he already knew about Frank Pepe's. He ended up going to Sally's though because they had a shorter line.

That was some good pie. Thanks again.

Phil, I asked him (jokingly) why he wasn't Summa, or at least Magna, and his response? "I have a life too"

He did real good. Better than the honors and awards show I hear.

Thanks all

Wow! Boston's a cool place to live and work...
And Harvard isn't suffering any layoffs lately.
That is just so Cool!

Very nice, Damon! I got ONE girl, age 15. So far, so good....but I can only pray she turns out half as good as your son did. (If she can get a PHD in texting, I'm in like Flint)

HUGE congratulations, Damon! To you and your son.

The russian text in the view from the 'luxury' dorm is a tad alarming...something about a cursed little gypsy...

Hmmmm...
