Then, one night, while playing her, I realize a random "razzle" not really locateable. It stopped as soon as it came. So I thought it was nothing big. A few days later it came back. So I openend the bowl and looked inside to check the braces. Everything seemed tight and in place. So I decided to change the strings. I did and also tigthend the screws on the tuners. They were all pretty loose, so I thought that might have been the reason for the strange razzle sound. I played again, no razzle. I was glad. And now, just a few minutes ago, I picked UTE up again. Giving the E-String a slight push (while tuning) - the razzle is back. Louder than ever. Same thing with all other strings now, too... Oh no... While sweat runs down my head I'm trying to locate it again, and finally I find something. The bridge, while still attached to the body and without any "seeable" gap, is obviously vibrating, when the strings are moving. It has to be the bridge, because if I push down the bridge slightly, while the razzle is hearable, it stops. First thing that comes to my mind is the Picture of the FD-14 with the torn out bridge. Yikes. So I immediately removed all tension from the strings. So far so good. Now what? Please help me to write a happy ending to this story. A seriously worried and wishing the mothership was in Germany Meuti

Meuti, if you put pressure on the bridge, you are damping the vibration of the top, so maybe, just maybe, it's something else. I assume you checked the strap pin and eppies. Man, I hope it's something simple. Did you try it with the rear hatch off?

I'm not sure if he wants me to post it, so I won't say who it was. All I can say is: This man knows a lot ;) Thank you again, Sir! Well, now I know, that indeed the braces are the reason for the issues. Two of them are loose, however only at the end. It's a big relief to know WHAT is wrong. I already found a luthier very close to my home, who could be the right person to do the repair for me. I've just emailed him and am waiting for his response. Looks like the happy end is coming nearer. :)

Not that they used too much, but those braces aren't going anywhere now. The guitar sounds amazing, so don't worry about the tone suffering from the added glue.

One week passed in which the poor Meuti cried almost every night because he was missing his favourite baby. Only the FUD was able to dry his tears at least a little bit. Then on a beautiful and sunny saturday Meuti received a phone call from the young luthier. UTE was cured and waiting for her daddy to pick her up. Which he did. And then... ...the lived happily ever after. The End
