Location: Boise, Idaho | Jake puts on a great show. When I told SWMBO I bought tickets, she asked if all he did was play the uke. Turned out that's all he did besides tell stories, but it was a fantastic performance. He's also a very likeable "kid", like someone else we know, right Dave? It's nice to see some talented musicians making it. |

BTW, Mr. Witko et al, I bought a Kamaka Pineapple this week for $100. Needs some minor crack repair that I'm having done now for about $75. Mid 70's white label. Pretty nice, huh?
It was my B-day present to myself. I turned 50 on Wednesday. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Was I supposed to buy a uke when I got old? I missed that part. I also didn't buy a Harley and have no desire yet for a motor home, but I'm still going for convertibles. Buying a uke might be the cheapest old fogey thing out there. |

Location: GA USA | I can't tell you how much I like my Mainland mahogany concert uke , Iffy. Mainland is fast becoming a favorite in moderately priced ukes. Of course, if you want to spend a lot more on something really special...
Concert is a good size for a guitar player to start. When you get serious like Dave, you may want a tenor. I'm not there yet. I mainly want to accompany myself on songs I like to sing, so my concert suits me fine.
Kala is good, and Flukes are cool.
