Well, I put it off too long so today I went and upgraded one of my most often used pieces of Shop equipment.

I should have done this long ago but with the economy the way it is and all...

Before:

After:

What else can I say...

NICE!!

There is no substitute for the right tools... Either on stage or on the job.

Congratulations!! You got the blue one with the pocket too... slick!!

I have a grey one (from the 50's). A bit tattered, but it is 'vintage' ;)

I see you repositioned your upgraded work bench also. You must be right-handed.
MUCH better access!

Mike must have sold something to be able to afford such an upgrade. Good to see you reinvest in the shop. The returns will be worth it!

Nice, A fresh work surface....Now go and put some battle scars on it!

I like dual-purpose equipment....You could probably use that workbench as a ironing board if you had to....

Which end are you going to mount the vise?

Never thought of using an ironing board to layout a guitar to work on, usually do it on the dining room table, great idea - thanks.

Oh honey........

I just came across this thread and it was timely. I just finished ironing 4 aloha shirts and was thinking of this very upgrade. Might have to sell something and just do it (one in, one out).....

I hate to rain on the parade, here, but you can't just go changing one of those from lefty to righty will-nilly like that without causing problems. Did you bother to check the bracing of the top to make sure it could handle the changing strains of both a new cover and orientation?
I'm just sayin'...

Hey ... Is that carbon fiber? I like the accessory back hanging on the side... for picks, capos, and cables right?

Last time I did ironing, I could have used that pouch for the ashes.
