Last week, me and my better half were in the small town of Linton, In (pop. 5700) on vacation/fishing trip. Decided to get a room rather than camp (bad weather predictions). This was wednesday night. Come to find out there were a lot of workers (coal mine, I believe) in town that week and the motel was nearly booked. Found out that thursday was already sold out. Went to check out thursday morning and found out that there was a cancellation, so we stayed another night. While at the office, I was told that it was busy because of the Roy Clark Weekend. Had known nothing about it. Went fishing all day, came back to the motel and went to the office to see about friday night......booked up. The guy there told me I had just missed Roy Clark by about 10 minutes. Bummer. Have always been a huge Roy Clark fan. Even though I really prefer R&R. He always seemed to just have too much fun when he played. After too much sun (burning) and skeeters, we came home friday. Would have loved to have met Roy.
