Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | I can finally play again (though I can't use a strap for the foreseeable future), and I've been working on this for the Song O the Day thread. But Bobbo has more important things to worry about than glory hounds right now, and I'm hitting the road tomorrow and wanted to get this up.
In celebration of playing again, I wanted to do something really different. So I studied up on multi-tracking, took a small leap of faith instrument-wise, hooked up the H4 recorder, AND...
...hopefully remembered my french well enough from my college days. (I haven't practiced French in a long, long time.) I liked this song the first time I heard it, and did this as part of my French final at the University of Alabama. (It was a spoken exam.) The panel took off three points for being too prepared, so it was worth an "A".
I'll post the lyrics and their translation on my ning site. Follow the link and scroll down on the left for my music box.
I hope all of you like it. :)

I meant to put this in the original post, but I used my 87 Collectors and Book mando for the recording. Something about this song just seems to fit the old op-24 pre-amp, so I left it as a straight plugged-in recording.
As always, I appreciate feedback of any kind. :) |

Sweet, super 'clean' cut! Any chance of boosting your vocal just a touch in the 'soft' spots?
Sorry, I can't help on the French... got a C- in high school (not knowing I was going to French Indochina)... |
