Got my 87 Collector out and loving it. Compared to my newer guitars, better neck, good acoustic sound, unfortunately its old electronics are really no comparison to my newest guitar I bought this year. I don't see a fix for that one, not going to tear into a classic. Reminds me I have not tried my Dtar Mama Bear. Any other thoughts.

It's weird I know, but sometimes I actually think that old piezo sound actually suits certain songs. I'm using my 87C right now to try some multi-tracking, and I actually prefer its pre-amp tone for the piece I'm doing. Go figure?

Other songs, I like the OP-Pro studio. On others I like'em miked. Guess it's all personal preference eventually.

Still, you can have the factory update the electronics if you want. (Not sure of the cost, but others will know and can PM you if you like.) Someone around here had an 87C repaired and customized with a beautiful burst and an electronics upgrade. (I'm planning on impersonating a long-lost relative to get in his will.)

Actually started to mess with my Mama Bear I think that is the answer, anyone else use it and suggest settings.
