Miracle Guitar Survives Crash
State Troopers responded to a report that a conversion van carrying seven hippies had rolled down a one and a half mile slope as they traveled to a Woodstock reunion concert.
The “jaws of life” were used to open the flower covered mangled mass. One Trooper, who wished to remain anonymous, became violently ill as he looked inside the vehicle. “It was hard to tell where one hippie ended and another began,” said the visibly shaken Trooper.
Amidst the carnage was one glimmer of hope as rescue workers removed an Ovation double neck guitar from the wreckage. While fighting back tears, the County Coroner was overheard to say, “My God, the guitar survived!”
A close friend of the seven, unable to join the group because of a Grandson’s bar mitzvah, said, “The eight of us had all attended the original Woodstock together, but none of us could remember anything about it. We were all anxious to see and hear what we missed.”
Friends and families suggest memorials be sent to the Ovation Fan Club. |

One quick question: in any group of hippies, isn't it ALWAYS hard to tell where one ends and the next begins? |
