Hi folks,

I have a late 1980's / early 1990's Adamas II 12-string guitar, 1685-8, serial 6433 that I haven't played in years. I've kept a lot of music equipment over the last 5-10 years but I have to admit to myself that I'm just not going to do much musically anymore. The Adamas was my pride and joy, but since I don't play it ... I'm thinking maybe I should sell.

I'd love to get any opinions on how much a used Adamas II 12-string might go for. I've scoured the completed listings on eBay off and on for the last few years, and can never find where one of these is sold (usually they're not the "II", or they're 6-string, etc) so I really have no idea of what to expect. The front does have a few small scratches/marks on the blue finish, I'm not sure if I could fix those or not, or how much effect that might have on the price. I figure I'd be lucky to get $1000 for the thing...?

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate the input.

IT depends on how much you need/want to sell it.
If you are going the ebay route, list it starting at $500 and see where it goes. Usually the market will dictate and it could sell for $500 or $1500 depending on who sees it and how much they want it.

Now is NOT the best time to be selling guitars.

It's a gem. Keep it. I have two, both black. I wouldn't sell mine for $1,000. And yours is a pretty blue!

Yeah ... keep it ... hmmm ... maybe we could trade colors.

;)

Watching Ebay as Stephen says is a good indicator. Most of us have found more value in trading.

Most, like myself, are cash poor but have a lot of interest in trades.
I have been GAS'n for and Adamas 12 so take a look in my Ning Gallery for poosible trades.

And Welcome! I see you have been lurking for quite a while!!

Thanks for the input. I'm definitely not interested in trading ... just need the cash. I hate to let the thing go for only $500 but if that's where I gotta start...

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say thanks for the input. I took some pictures of it and will put something in the for sale section and pray. ;)
